Alabama Tourism Department Presentations
Staff members Marilyn Stamps and Brian Jones made a presentation Monday at a developmental meeting for the Alabama Department of Archives and History's "Becoming Alabama" campaign. The meeting was held at The Museum of Mobile.
Edith Parten will be attending the National Newspaper Association Annual Convention on Sept. 24 and 25 in Mobile.
Grey Brennan, Marketing and Regional Director of the Alabama Tourism Department, will be in Tuscaloosa on Friday, Oct. 2 to meet with the public and representatives from area accommodations, attractions, festivals, establishments and organizations interested in tourism. This Regional Education meeting will last no longer than 90 minutes. During the meeting, Brennan will review the services offered by the Alabama Tourism Department, how to work with the department, and discuss upcoming promotions with a special focus on the "Year of Alabama Music." Brennan will also ask for the community's help for submissions of local music venues, musicians, events and historical sites. There will be time for comments and suggestions, which are very much appreciated.
