VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

RC&D OFFICE MANAGER

 

CLOSING DATE:      February 28, 2011

                                      Resume to be received by close of business.

 

LOCATION:               To be located in Montgomery, Alabama.

 

COMPENSATION:    Pay Interval  -  Monthly pay period (12 per year)

                                      Pay  -  Starting salary to be determined by education and experience.           

                                       Salary Range  -  $42,000.  -  $48,000.  Plus benefits.

 

WORK SCHEDULE:  The salary is based on forty hour work week.

Monday  -  Friday.  Work hours  8:00 -  5:00.  If weekend travel or work is required; work week will be adjusted by State RC&D Board of Directors.  No overtime or comp time will be accrued.           

 


LEAVE:                                    Vacation  -  4  hours accumulated per 80 hours worked

                                                                   first 10 years; 6 hours thereafter.           

 

                                                Sick  -         4  hours accumulated per 80  hours worked.

 

TRAVEL:                                    Employee may be invited to attend the annual meeting

                                                of the State, Southeastern, or National RC&D Association

                                                meetings.  In addition, there may be a need for limited

                                                travel.  All travel is paid per the established travel policy

                                                of the State RC&D Association.           

 

REQUIREMENTS:                        Education  -  Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or

                                                                   equivalent degree.

                                                Advanced Computer Skills  -  Quick Books, Microsoft

                                                                                          Office Programs.

                                                Accounting Skills    -  Two years experience managing a non-

                                                                                non-profit or similar organization.

                                                Management Skills  -  Experience managing Federal, State,

                                                                                and Local funds.  Self motivated and

                                                                                able to perform with minimal

                                                                                supervision.  People person.

                                                Communication  -       Ability to communicate orally and in

                                                                               writing.

                                                Typing Skills      -       Ability to effectively and accurately

                                                                               type.

           

JOB DESCRIPTION;   Approximately 75% of the work will be accounting, grant tracking, invoicing, and project management in the office.    Project activities, related assignments, and other duties as assigned take approximately 25% of the time. Valid Alabama Drivers License.

 

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

One year probation period - dismissal with or without cause.

Performance evaluation after first six months and annually  thereafter.

The position is considered Exempt under Federal Fair Labor Standards Act. This is a full time position renewable annually contingent on employee performance and adequate program funding.
