Thorsby Continued
An architect has been contacted to prepare initial recommendations. The renovation will begin when funding is identified and received. Cawaco RC&D is providing assistance to the City of Thorsby to identify the funding and match necessary for all levels of the project.
There have been several volunteer workdays at the school. Local leaders and volunteers swept, picked up garbage, sorted recycleables, and loaded and hauled away a wide range of materials. The Town of Thorsby donated a dump truck and limb truck to help with the operation. Another cleanup is scheduled for October 6 from 8am to 12pm. The school will be open for the 20th Annual Thorsby Swedish Festival (held October 13), for those who want to tour the building.
