Wayne Carmello-Harper is the president and principal consultant for Guidant Consulting, Inc. He has worked for the past twenty years as a director of planned giving, executive director of a hospital foundation, overseen the conversion of nonprofit hospital assets, and headed a community foundation. Under his leadership, Wayne has raised millions of dollars in planned gifts, established solid and enduring endowment programs, managed the day-to-day operations of charitable institutions and carefully implemented the charitable goals of individuals, families and businesses. Wayne has a track record of professional development since earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in theology. He has completed the National Planned Giving Institute at the College of William and Mary and the Leadership in Philanthropy program at Stanford University. Wayne is a member of the National Planned Giving Council and a board member of the Alabama Planned Giving Council. He is past president of Alabama Giving, a statewide association of private and public foundations, and has recently completed his service on the Alabama Governor’s Commission for Faith Based and Community Initiatives.
